The Fine Print

Fees and Services

Optimise Nutrition Darling Downs is not a bulk billing practice and therefore payment is required at the time of consultation,  EFTPOS facilities are available on site.


Full payment will be required, the Medicare rebate will be refunded into your bank account.  Internet bank deposits are accepted with prior arrangement.  


If your GP has referred you to this service under an Enhanced Primary Care Plan (EPC) or Eating Disorder Management Plan (EDMP),  rebates may be available through Medicare , or your private health insurance company, depending on your level of cover.     A Gap payment is required.


To make claiming your rebate as easy as possible, please ensure you have registered your bank account details with Medicare. 

 

Other billing details

In response to the COVID19 pandemic, Medicare has introduced Allied Health Telehealth and Telephone consultations, which will be available for the foreseeable future.


Optimise Nutrition can provide home visits to frail and aged patients within the Toowoomba area at no additional cost, as well as telephone and telehealth consultations for patients across Darling Downs who are unable to attend her room at 20 Quail Street, Rangeville, Toowoomba. 


Optimise Nutrition prefers face-to-face consultations in the first instance.


Patients can see the dietitian Optimise Nutrition with or without a referral.  Self referrals are accepted.  If a patient has a standard referral, is recommended or self-referred, they are not eligible to claim a rebate from Medicare, but they are able to claim a rebate from their private health insurance if they are covered, processed at the time of the consult.


Cancellation Policy

Cancellations

Time is allocated to you/your child, upon booking an appointment, rendering it unavailable to other clients.  Out of consideration to Optimise Nutrition Darling Downs and other clients, a late cancellation fee equal to 50% of the consultation fee will be charged for late cancellations. 


Clients must confirm or, if required, reschedule their appointment on the same day the text reminder is sent, to avoid incurring a fee. 


Clients who do attend their appointment without notification will be considered as a "no show" and will incur 100% of the consultation fee. 


Individual circumstances and requests will be considered, please raise any concerns in a timely manner.


Privacy Note

Personal information is collected  to complete a booking,  by providing this information we imply you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.


If after you opt-in, you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent for us to contact you, for the continued collection, use or disclosure of your information, at anytime, by contacting us.


Payments

Payment via EFTPOS available on site.  Terminal is linked to Medicare & Private Health Funds, for instant rebates. Debit card payments preferred for gap payments.  Full payment required at time of consult.
